Following his retirement from corporate America, Jay became the practice owner for one of South Florida’s top cosmetic dermatology and plastic surgery practices. It was a multi-million dollar practice with three locations, an operating room and 29 employees. In 2011, the medical director, his wife… was diagnosed with stage four cancer. Several months later, when she lost her short battle with cancer, Jay knew it was his calling to share his knowledge of running a successful practice with the aesthetic medical community. At the time, his daughter, Mara Shorr, was the owner of her own marketing company. She decided to jump in and help her dad through his grief, both personally and professionally. She partnered with him until 2023 to build our company and was pivotal to the success we have today.
The rest is history and Jay turned a side hustle into something larger than he’d ever imagined.
Shorr Solutions was founded in 2011 and is now an award-winning, nationally-known practice management consulting company helping aesthetic practices across the U.S. improve their operational, financial and administrative health.
