Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Workplace violence prevention training equips employees with practical tools to identify potentially violent situations early and recognize warning signs before they escalate. Staff learn how to appropriately respond to verbal abuse, harassment, and other concerning behaviors that can negatively impact morale and job satisfaction. The training also emphasizes how to respond during immediate danger, helping employees understand their role in reducing violence in the workplace and protecting themselves and others.
Our course helps create a secure work environment by educating employees on common risk factors and how to spot threatening behavior from patients, visitors, or even co-workers. Employees are trained on when and how to immediately report concerns so potential incidents can be addressed before they escalate. This proactive approach strengthens communication, accountability, and overall workplace safety.
While it may not be possible to eliminate all incidents, organizations can significantly reduce potential risks through proper education and preparation. Training teaches staff how to seek assistance, use effective de-escalation techniques, and remain aware of how their actions may impact other employees, if any, during tense situations. These strategies help protect individuals and support organizations in creating safer workplaces.
California requires employers to provide training to help prevent workplace violence and ensure employee safety. Under California Labor Code Section 6401.9, employers must implement a workplace violence prevention plan and train employees on recognizing hazards, responding to threats, and reporting incidents. These mandates exist to reduce harm, improve preparedness, and promote safer working conditions across all industries.
