Jay Shorr Has Been Appointed to the Adjunct Faculty of FAU!

Congratulations to our founding partner, Jay Shorr, on his latest appointment to the adjunct faculty of Florida Atlantic University (FAU) which will officially begin in January 2020. At FAU, Jay will be teaching Executive Business Education for the Medical Business Management course during their upcoming spring and fall semesters. We are so proud and excited for Jay on his new venture to teach and formally educate students. Not only this, but we’re so thrilled that he’s going to be doing something he truly loves to do. “Everyone who knows me knows how much I love to teach as one of my favorite passions.” – Jay Shorr.

What made you become interested in joining the faculty at FAU?
“As a former student of the program that I am going to teach and knowing the educational content that will be delivered, I felt that as a motivational and professional speaker I have the ability to pass on the knowledge I’ve learned to students currently in the industry or desiring to enter the industry.”
What contributed to the knowledge you now possess about medical business management?
“Having been a former business owner and partner in a medical practice for many years, I felt I have the first-hand knowledge to share my expertise with those in our industry. Additionally, having the ability to work with dozens of clients in the medical industry, I’ve also received firsthand the opportunities to provide my help whether it’s to increase efficiency or reduce expenses in their practice. Due to this, I’ll even be able to help my students with the creation of processes and protocols.”
Why do you consider teaching one of your favorite passions?
“This is so easy. It’s because knowledge is power, and no one can ever take it away from you. Really, it has become a personal mission of mine to pass along the knowledge and experience I have gained over the years so that others can benefit from it. Not only this but pass it along to future generations. People don’t teach for the money. We do it because we love to do it and we love to help others.”
What do you see yourself doing in 5 years?
“I am going to continue building our family business and help to promote others to achieve the successes that I have been able to accomplish in my lifetime. People like Denise, Ana, Rob, and future team members of our company, just like people have done for me in my lifetime. I didn’t get to where I am at on my own, a lot of people had a hand in it. I had many mentors that helped along the way.”
