Tamarac, Fla. (August 26, 2013) –  Shorr Solutions is proud to have been appointed as the certification developer and organizer for the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M). This is for the Certified Medical Business Management curriculum.

Furthermore, this is the first of its kind in the Academy’s history. Of course, there will be a two-part course will take place at two of A4M’s national pre-conferences. These conferences will be located at The Venetian in Las Vegas in December 2013 and the Gaylord Orlando in May 2014. The certification will include lectures on employee selection, marketing, IT software systems, business financials, and more.

“As family business, we’re thrilled to be working with A4M,” said Jay Shorr. Jay is the founder and partnering manager of Shorr Solutions. “We lecture at almost a dozen conferences each year. We educate physicians and their staff on a wide variety of practice management topics. Partnering with A4M to create their certification is in perfect alignment with our goals.”

Jay Shorr is joined in the business by his daughter and business partner, Mara Shorr. Mara is the company’s vice president of marketing and business development. The company sprung out of Jay Shorr’s decade-long career as a practice administrator. He was the practice administrator of a well-known South Florida dermatology and cosmetic center. His wife served as the business’s medical director until her passing in 2012. In the meantime, he decided to bring his daughter’s marketing background into the mix. Since 2012, the company has seen a client base increase of over 300%.

“As The American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M) carries on its mission to foster professional development for members through education, we are proud to partner with Shorr Solutions. We want to develop a quality Practice Management course.  The course training and credentialing will teach the best skill sets and practices in order to fill the knowledge gap. This meets the demands of a modern practice. This course will provide valuable knowledge. Whether it is revenue cycle management, compliance regulations, human resources, health information technology, or marketing ,” said Doreen Brown, CEO, A4M and Medical Conferences International. “Expanding a healthcare practitioner or their staff’s knowledge base best positions their practice to navigate and create opportunities.”
